Optimizing your health is our central focus and we offer a number of Traditional Chinese Medicine options to help you feel your best. Our team can help you determine what course of action(s) would be most beneficial and supportive to your healing journey.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture works by using needles to access the Qi (pronounced "chee") or vital energy at acupoints and manipulating that energy in specific ways. One can either supplement, drain, or move the Qi in order to restore the proper flow of energy through the meridians (pathways for Qi) in the body.
Electro-Acupuncture
Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture that combines traditional acupuncture with electrical stimulation. It involves inserting thin needles into specific acupuncture points on the body and then applying a small electrical current to the needles.
Cupping
An ancient healing technique that some people use to ease pain. A provider places cups on your back, stomach, arms, legs, or other parts of your body. The cup pulls your skin upward to promote circulation and relieve tension.
Chinese Herbs
Specific herbs are prescribed to restore energy balance to the opposing forces of energy - Yin and Yang - that run through the channels in the body. Herbs can be customized to each individual and their particular needs.
Acupuncture Tui-Na
Tui-na massage is similar to acupuncture in that it targets specific acupoints, but practitioners use fingers instead of needles to apply pressure to stimulate these points. Tui-na massage is often used in combination with acupuncture.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is an ancient Chinese massage technique that uses scraping tools to relieve pain and tension, improve circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage.
Plum Blossom
Plum-blossom needle therapy (PBNT) is an approach involving superficial or non-penetrating skin contact, used for treating various conditions by tapping specific skin regions or acupoints using an instrument comprised of five or seven needles bundled together.
